"Midwife" means "with woman.” Nurse-midwives
provide safe, personalized healthcare and understand the physical,
social, spiritual, and emotional needs of women. CNMs provide
routine gynecological care and carry on a tradition of assisting
women in the safe delivery of babies. Midwives promote wellness
in women, babies and families. Women are encouraged to make
informed decisions about their healthcare.
